CAPTURING THE ABSENCE
The series of domestic furniture pieces that suggest the idea of lost objects and nostalgia within them and explore an implication of the void. The artefacts operate as one’s observation and a comment of the fact of something being lost and intended to articulate the empty space left by the object in the familiar environment. They set out to catch the perceptual moment when residual record of an object engages the user through the means of memory and imagination.
Two different methods of production were used in order to express the indications of a prior presence. Table 1 - resin cast, table 2 - photogram straight onto the table top surface by using liquid photography.
Серия предметов мебели, содержащих в себе напоминание о потерянных вещах и ощущение пустоты оставленное ими. Данные артефакты – это наблюдение и комментарий о потере, и намерение выразить метафизический отпечаток, оставленный объектом в привычной среде. Методы, использованы для изготовления: положительный отпечаток из эпоксидной смолы, а также фото отпечаток непосредственно на поверхности (фотограмма), с использованием жидкой фотографии.
